      ... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeņos, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeņos while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

      Next we thought we’d shop at the Galleria Mall. Big mistake! ...

      Finally.

      After months of anticipation, today is the day I fly to Houston to meet Annette and begin our Mother/Daughter cruise!

      PDX not busy on this Friday morning; breezed through ticketing and TSA and even had time to update my foot pics on the PDX carpet, both old and new. So much drama around the replacement of this iconic carpet Very Portland.

      ... we pulled into the turn lane. There were 3 lanes going into the center and only one gate open. They need help here!! Twenty minutes later we got through the gate to the parking lot. There were lots of school groups, most very well behaved. It was the kids with families that seemed to run everywhere like wild children. Oh well!
