... we passed through what must be the seedier side of Great Falls, we saw casino's, strip clubs, and some unsavory characters. Our hotel is on the outskirts of town near the airport and the room is nice, but there are no good restaurants in the area without getting back on the Interstate and heading into town. So the choices we had were either the Denny's next door or the Subway across the street, so we opted for the Denny's.

The cleaning staff has blocked the door to the women’s washroom with a mop and a wet floor sign, yet there is no one around. ...

... date so Heidi dictates and I text messages telling Don and Karen where we are at. We arrive at Fort McLeod (and get lost – seriously who can get lost in Fort McLeod…besides the two of us!) and finally make it to Don and Karen’s bicycle shop; it is 1:50, almost 2 hours later than we had intended.

We go to lunch with Don, Karen and their three (collective) children (oh and the little grandson who is cuter than a button). It is a ...

... where the Native Americans drove the buffalo. Archaeologists continue to find remains of the thousands of buffalo.

One of the most interesting facts we learned was that many, many tribes rotated through the area using the same techniques to sustain their tribes. The area, like most things, was treated with respect. The process is fascinating. If you are interested to learn more, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Peop ...
