Bid low price through Priceline ... didn't know what to expect ...

      from

Wanted a low price hotel since we had to be at the airport early ... bid $50 on Priceline for a 2-star hotel near airport ~ not knowing what we would get, crossed our fingers ...

Beautiful king bed room with microwave & mini-fridge, very modern and clean hotel with wonderful continental breakfast, juice & coffee, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit & muffins, etc., free shuttle to airport ~ couldn't ask for more. Understand the regular price is $100+ for the room, so what a bargain!

      Loved it!!!

      from

My family - 2 adult and 2 kids (12 &10) stayed at this property in mid- December 2004 before going on a cruise, and LOVED IT.

The hotel overlooks a lake and is in a quiet area but yet within walking distance of lots of restaurants: e.g. TGI Friday's, Dave & Busters (the kids loved it!), Red Lobster House, The Ft Lauderdale Ale House, and even a Wendy's and K-Mart.

The room rates are reasonable (about $100 US tops through Expedia for the four of us) and that included a terrific continental breakfast with cereals, waffles, juices etc etc. in the lovely lobby area, overlooking the lake and pool.

The property is fairly new - about 5-7 years old probably - and the rooms are lovely. Terrific beds, a special vanity area outside the bathroom (which my wife loved) and bedspreads and furnishings you'd expect in a five-star hotel.

ASK FOR A LAKE VIEW ROOM if you can. The pool area is lovely, with an adjacent gazebo and gardens.

We stayed at a Hampton Inn in Key West while in FL (very good), the AmeriSuites at Miami Airport at the finish of our trip (good) and the pop Century at Disney World (very good), but the La Quinta Inn Ft Lauderdale Airport was by far our top pick.

I chatted with a guy from Miami who was overnighting there, because he was moving house, and even he (a south Florida resident) raved about the place and called it a well kept secret.

Can't say enought good things about this place.

It was our first night's accommodation after flying to the US all the way from Australia, and it was a great introduction to South Florida.

I recommend this property without hesitation.

      Fantastic value

      from

We weren't expecting much from this hotel as the price was very low and we thought it would be like any other mid-budget chain but we were pleasantly surprised. This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! The room was large, odorless(!) and very clean, as was the bathroom. The view was very nice as was the pool (free pool towels) and the location was reasonably good too - next to a mall with several decent restaurants. The free breakfast was a bonus although the choice wasn't great. I would definitely come back hee!

Free shuttle to/from airport and to port

      from

Free access to high speed internet in each room; complimentary breakfast consisting of bagels, hard broiled eggs, waffles, muffins, coffee/juice, etc.; Free transfers to/from Ft. Lauderdale airport; Free transfer to cruise port; Great restaurants at walking distance (Dave and Busters, Souplantation, TGIF, etc.)

The staff was also excellent. They gave us good tips on where to eat. When we asked for water, they gave us 2 free bottled water.

      Nice stay here!

      from

We stayed here for a precruise stay and thought this was a very nice hotel. The shuttle from the airport and to the pier was very convenient and the staff was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do that evening. The pool, rooms, and breakfast were all very good. The price through hotwire was great for as nice as this hotel was. Better than the 2* in our opinion.

      ...Love this place.....

      from

our first stay here was booked thru the coast guard for us and we were VERY HAPPY. we were able to do an early check in at 9 a.m. due to a redeye flight. we did have a small problem with the bathroom but they moved us to a new room 3 doors down and even helped to move our bags. the room was very clean and a nice size. breakfast was great everyday and there was always food available. the pool was very nice and open all the time. they had a small workout room stocked with bottled water. the location of the hotel was GREAT. movies, restraunts, shops and even dave and busters all within 1 mile or so. the front desk people were WONDERFUL. after our first stay there we joined their program. we LOVE this place and stay there when we can.

What a great surprise find-loved it!!

      from

We stayed here before our flight home in the morning...and we were so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Friendly staff, huge and clean room, and very pretty pool/hot tub area. And the breakfast(especially the waffles!!) was great in the morning. Can't say enough about how nice this place was. Not sure of the regular rates, but we got a $79 deal from a Florida tourism website for our King/sleeper sofa room for 4 people-what a deal!!

      We Were Wowed!

      from

We needed an inexpensive stay while we were visiting family in Fort Lauderdale for three days. After that, we were going to our five star resort in Orlando. We were very surprised to see such an attractive hotel. It was just perfect! The staff was very eager to please us. The free full breakfast bar was icing on the cake. We highly recommend this place to anyone who will be in the area. We were happier with La Quinta Inn than our five star resort in Orlando. Go figure!

Clean, Nice rooms and nice pool area

      from

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suite Ft. Lauderdale Airport for one night and had No Problems. The Hotel was Full and I would say 95% of the people were going on a cruise the next morning. You have restaurants right across the street. I think a T.G.I.F. was there. The Pool was very nice and they also had a hot tub. If you need a room before you go on a Cruise this is a good choice. They also had a free airport shuttle that picked us up right ouside the bagage area.

      Orlando to Miami

We caught a bus to Miami to Orlando. The scenery along the way was amazing with palm trees and water the whole way. Except for when we drove past a house that was fully engulfed in flames. Kinda ruined the view. On checking into our hotel we are upgraded for our honeymoon and end up with a view of the harbour from the 15th floor, there is only one floor above us. It is a ...

... was because we were right up the front! We were the first group of the day to see a gator floating around where we all rushed to snap a few pics. After this fun adventure we had a lovely little show were a guy showed us scorpions, toads, a few different size 'gators. He even gave us a little 'wrestling' demonstration. It wasn't really a demonstration. Mo the alligator was 10 years old and been doing this show forever. He didn't really care what was ...

I took the Hoppa a tad early and ended up having to wait to check in my cases. Got a bit bored so I decided on an upgrade to Premium Economy and offset the cost of taking an extra case from the charge.

Now in 14J with an aisle seat. Let’s hope the TV works OK.
