      ... doing donuts. If the truck doesn’t spin into the infield, Bob gets out from time to time, runs and stops suddenly to see if he slides. Apparently, runway 13 passed Bob’s test at New York City's LaGuardia Airport just prior to the touchdown of a Delta passenger jet which promptly slid off the runway and climbed the embankment separating the river from the runway. Luckily no one was seriously hurt.

      ... landed safely. Out came a Vietnamese captain his wife and five children trying to o get to safety. Now the little plane is hanging in the museum and was pictured on tv. There's so much to see that we didn't have time to see it all.

      ... like old home week for me as I had stayed just down the road from there for three winters. Ironically my friends Harold & Benita Doucette had stayed for a month in the same building as the Rapers.

      The weather was sunny, windy and around 15 – 20 degrees celsius. Played a lot of cards, two games of golf, did some shopping and met lots of people. Had a great time.

      ... returning to the van, Dan notices a leak underneath. We're both down on the ground checking it out when a young man comes along and asks if we're having a problem. He turns out to be a handyman extraordinaire, plumber, electrician, etc. We mention our broken plumbing and he says, "Follow me." One hour later he has fixed the tap and the leak and restored our faith in the goodness of human nature.
