    We were with a tour group, so we don't know if this happens when you travel individually or not, but we had to submit both our passport and this Immigration Card to check into every one of our hotels. We had to present it and our passports to get on the train to Machu Picchu and into Machu Picchu ...

    ... it went around the glade...a sort of 'call and response' orchestration. The fireflies seemed to be hovering at about 5 foot off the forest floor ... imagine the perseverance of these tiny insects ... out there determined to follow natures call; no matter the rain.

    And hurrah for us too, undaunted by the weather, we had accomplished our goal and together experienced one of the unique events of nature.
