Wonderful people, very helpful and friendly. And the BEST hotel breakfast we've had anywhere! Very clean. Very nice. Front desk even had a bag of treats for each dog.

Dang has crawfish for sale, it's inside a gas station and you can order it live or boiled. 3 lbs minimum and they are $2/lb live and $3/lb boiled. When I asked how much one person could eat, she said oh, about 3 lbs. 6 lbs later (figured the kids would prefer hotdogs) and we were set. SIX pounds is a LOT of crawfish to peel. Now we know.... The next day we braved the grade two hurricane to get to Avery island, the original and only home of Tabasco sauce! The tour was really cool and the company still belongs to the original family and is produced still on Avery island- every single bottle!! The gift shop was ...
I must be retired because I'm having trouble with what day it is. On Friday, the 7th, Tree needed to get a touch up on her hair, so I dropped her off and went into downtown Lafayette. Not a whole lot happening there but I got a good walk in.
I picked up Theresa and we headed out to Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic site, which I give three thumbs up. The site was lite on ...
