Jonathan took me for breakfast this morning at "Bob Evans". I have never seen such a big breakfast menu. After studying the breakfast menu for the longest time - I got a three course breakfast: coffee, sausage and eggs and crepes for breakfast pudding. My crepes had blueberries and were stuffed with a vanilla custard. Looked like a good idea on the menu... Once again, we are steered by the weather. We were planning to travel down the east coast, but South Carolina has ...

... Moose, Elk, Caribou, Reindeer, Buffalo and all their relatives. There were wolves, foxes, skunks, beavers, and on and on...every conceivable mammal, bird, fish and reptile you would ever want to see. But what I found eerily interesting, was the collection of insects. There are some really scary bugs in the world, scary, ugly, gross, disgusting, creepy crawlers! They are the most abundant and ...

... stay a few nights. This would be a good opportunity to do some detailed planning for the journey south in November.

However, all work and no play etc, etc … The area is well known for its magnificent cave systems and the Corvette Museum. We made sure that there was time to explore both on very wet days.

Mammoth National Park is a World Heritage site and International Biosphere Reserve, and just at the entry, a small group of ...

THURSDAY 7/17-not a long trip from Louisville to Bowling Green especially since we GAINED an hour, we are back on Central Time. One of the reasons we came to Bowling Green (besides the Museum) was a cruise in on Friday night. While investigating on the Internet I found that it was associated with "Corvette Homecoming" weekend event so we swung by the place it was being held. The vendor spots were too expensive and it did not appear to be a large amount ...

It’s been a great weekend with my family. We stomped around Lost River Caverns, went to the Farmers’ Market, to a t-ball game (can we talk about how entertaining t-ball games are?), and had a few cookouts. I don’t get to Kentucky nearly often enough, so it was wonderful to spend time with my sister and her husband and two of my nephews and their wives and their families.
