    ... Ins, and Dives. There was a 15 or 20 minute wait to get a table. Outside there is a waiting area with seats and umbrellas. Once we got in we found a retro diner with central counter seating and booths around the walls, and a patio area through a side door. The décor was all 50’s with old soda signs and antique pieces.     So I thought that the Fancy Food’s was Sat, Sun and Monday; we’d leave here on Friday and return home Monday night then fly to New Mexico on Wed a.m. and all would be hunky dory. Wrong! Fancy Food’s is Sun, Monday and Tuesday meaning that we will drive home from San Francisco on Tuesday night then fly on Wed 6a.m.

    ... is the first year without our Sunny since she was 5 years old when we went up 395 to Mammoth. We will be missing her!

    I sat down with each of the kids and they decided what they wanted to cook for their day so at this point I’ve got the route planned, kids meals planned and expenses projected. I really now must get my meals planned so that I can make a complete shopping list for tomorrow.
