    ... Deanne and I took a stroll down to S Congress Street Bridge where the bats hang out...or under. Just before sunset we parked ourselves on the grassy knoll beside the river and took note of any possible bat snipers. The crowds were beginning to swell, entrepreneurs selling ice cream, water and bat cowls, children playing ball games without a bat, people singing bat songs:

    "Bats the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it...."

    ... down to what will be forever remembered as one of the best meals I have ever shoveled in to my face. The ribs were tender with a pinky size pink ring of smoke. The meat was so perfectly cooked that it did not fall off the bone but hung on until your mouth gently nuzzled it away. For how absolutely delectible the ribs were, the brisket stole the show.     ... to level the scores before the final whistle WHIHOOOOOOOOOOO - the relief OH MY GOD!!
