After a home-style dinner at Threadgill's, we hung out for a bit with our friend Stevie Ray Vaughan (well, a statue of him) at the riverfront park, and then relaxed on top of the Congress Avenue Bridge, waiting for the millions of bats to emerge from under the bridge at dusk. Alas, they never flew out en masse, but we did see hundreds of them circling under the bridge, which was pretty cool by itself.
