... desert later in the evening. All in all we could not have asked for friendlier and more accommodating people. During our Northern American travels we have experienced such friendliness and more than any of our previous trips.

PS: Matt was in the gym and bumped into Steve Williams (Adam Scott's caddie) this afternoon.
A familiar scene for us. Girls up early eagerly awaiting the alarm, bags mostly packed, Matt and Jen preparing mentally for a four hour drive (more so regarding sanity than traffic)...'we're on the road again'. This was formally our last US leg drive. Breakfast, car packed, four chocolate cookies from Reception received and we were ready to leave Charlotte.

... I am not a religious person, but I prayed to God on five separate occasions to not put me in a seat next to one of those screamers...or by a really obese person. Just in case, Rhylan and I chugged two beers each before boarding the plane... I'm on a pseudo vacation, don't judge me (mother!). Apparently it was a slow prayer day for God and ...
... it was time for Chu and I to talk to the Delta agent, we had already seen her get yelled at by at least one customer and I was hoping not to be another one of those. She informed us that "you will NOT make your flight to Santiago" and that we would have to leave on tomorrow's flight at 10pm - UGH! Are you KIDDING me? She told us we had to get a hotel and stay in Atlanta to which my response was "Well, will you be able to help pay for that?" "No, we can't ...
... but I was really upset so just bare with me this time.
It may have been an unexpected start to our trip but then again nothing ever really turns out the way you expect it to. A rocky start means the rest of the trip will be smooth sailing...well as smooth as any trip in a foreign country can be. So now that we are finally in Madrid, we can kick back, relax and let the craziness begin. =)
