If you like a simple hotel with clean rooms then this is perfectly fine...good average American stay-over. Breakfast room is terrible, so ate in the room.

I think we stayed at the La Quinta at 6560 Surrey St. Wherever we were, the hotel was nice, and the food was decent!

Day 8: We decided going to Vegas directly and have more time in San Franciso later next week, therefore avoiding the 6h extra drive to the Grand Canyon. We drove to the Hoover Dam instead, which is really an impressive construction and pretty well organized. The water line is low at this time of the year. It gets quite hot on the bridge and Jule …

... time to stop and check it out, maybe tomorrow.

We then went to the Tuscany Casino where the show we were going to attend was being held in the Copa Theater, we were going to see The Rat Pack is Back. It was a great show in this small 300 seat theater. Seating was first come first serve and we were first in line. We got a cocktail table in the center of the first row. The performers representing Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. were literally ...

... exactly what I expected. Really busy, lots of people drinking, gambling and making made decisions (it wouldn't be Vegas otherwise). It's a good idea to find somewhere just to people watch for a bit, that is if you can stand the heat! After this, we went back to the Monty Carlo to wait for the doors to the theatre opened.

Once inside the theatre we took our seats. We had really good seat in row C right next to the aisle so we could see everything really ...

This was our final day in fabulous Las Vegas.

We forced ourselves to get up early for one last early morning trip to (if you haven't guessed), THE HOOVER DAM!

This time our bus driver was a hilariously peppy woman named Jackie. She was the exact antithesis of our former driver, Larry. The trip was relatively short: within 40 minutes our so, we made it to Boulder City, NV where we made our first stop. She stopped ...
