... me to our spot. Harley had jumped out of the coach by now and the man, being quite the dog lover, asked if I had a leash so he could walk Harley to the spot while I moved the coach. He cemented the friendship with a large dog biscuit.

We pulled in and noticed that the grass next to the coach was quite muddy. This place got 2" of rain in about 30 minutes two days ago so it was no wonder. The man agreed that this might not be the best space and moved us over ...

We had a beautiful drive continuing north through the Texas Hill Country to the Dallas/Fort Worth area -- more rolling hills and beautiful wildflowers. The Lake Mineral Wells State Park is lovely -- our campsite is wooded, secluded, and has a short trail down to the lake. I've been asked to include weather information in our blog -- thank you, Cindi. In Mineral Wells the elevation is 873 feet and we had highs in the ...

After breakfast we were off again. First we drove through the old Fort Wolters. They have used a lot of the old buildings as business warehouses but also have revamped several and people now live in them. After that short drive, we made our way into town to visit the Crazy Water store. Crazy Water comes from a couple of the mineral wells in this area. Yesterday we drove up to Mineral Wells, TX with mom & dad. The main objective was to visit Clark Gardens. We did accomplish that today, but not as good as I had hoped. It rained this morning and the trails were muddy, although the sun was out by the time we arrived, and it was difficult for daddy to walk them. We had brought a wheel chair for him to use if necessary, but with the muddy puddles, it was not easy to push him around. We did ...

... We left the lot with Jeremiah to help him with grocery shopping and to grab a few necessities for us, but that was the only responsible thing I did all day. It was lovely!

We have another day off tomorrow and then we jump for Krum, Texas and get back into the swing of things with shows everyday. But for now, I'll enjoy a little down time. Thank you so much for all of the birthday greetings and messages of love...they made me smile all day long.
