Tomorrow we have a fairly long drive from Pescara on the east coast, down south for about an hour before cutting across to the west coast to the city of Salermo on the Amalfi Coast. We drove down to the waterfront from our hilltop hotel and explored the port area where the locals have built a lovely pedestrian - cycle only bridge, called Ponte de Mare. First was to get a new Italian SIM card for our cellphone, the second to find a laundry (lavanderia) close by.
