Ended up here agin after inspecting two other aires, both OK but a bit dirty underfoot and one had to pay. Le Hourdel is free and this time we managed to park on the edge of the beach with clear views across Le Baie du Somme. Excellent walks and this morning lucky to observe a couple of seals swimming in close with the high tide, absolutely brilliant nothing like seeing seals in the wild. Enroute to Dieppe, passed a line of men stalking the fields. Took a few minutes to register that they were a shooting party. Didn't think it appropriate to stop and take pictures of people with guns. Subsequently came across several other groups who were also shooters, though these were also wearing distinctive orange vests. Sunday obviously not a day for a walk in the woods.

... What a delight this is. After dinner we walked round the site for a while then bed by 9.40! Unbelievable! No telly is quite good really.

Rained all night, so packed the tent up wet. The across to St Sever Cemetery which is quite large and WOODLAND not in any of the book lists so found him by looking at date of death and also a special section for officers ???
