... need/want me to be there. rar. and i couldnt get home because no buses were running due to the crazy floods...the fact that there even was school on a day when half the teacher and students couldn't get there...is another story and also belongs on my list of illogical frenchisms...
anyways thanks to miguel, i made it both home and to saint raphael in time. thanks again miguel!!!!!
so while at the train station i witnessed ...
... committed by kids. except using much smaller words. maybe at least they'll think i'm older than i look now?
btws when asked my age i replied, a true lady never reveals her age. my 2 faves in the class laughed at that one. at least someone got my jokes!
and tomorrow?
another day of very early rising to greet the bus, and go to a class that i may or may not actually have.(thanks eve)
looks like i've got my work cut out for me.....
... blue/green shutter doors. i feel all french like whenever we open and close them.
so tomorrow is my first day of school for real. eek. little nervous, its a class of terminal and then the professional school. definite potential for them to be older than me. oh *****, i already look like im 12 haha.
yet another part of this lovely adventure!

Just paid a fleeting visit to St Tropez on the way to Avignon (so we thought)... had to be done really.. a quick wander around and a very quick coffee. It was much smaller than I thought. Lots of nice boats but loads of tourists too.... that was about it!
... believe our luck. It was so nice. Still, warm and crystal clear water on sandy beaches. We had a quick swim but knew we had to leave to get to Avignon on time. We then decided that if we found a campsite that was open we would stay. The first 2 we came to were closed and we were sad...but around at st clair beach one was open! Woo hoo!!!! 2 very happy girls. That night we played in the sand like kids ...
st. clair, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France emmasadventuresWe also took the short drive to Port Grimaud, to visit this small but new harbour town built in what was once marshland, but is now row after row of condos and homes built in a web of jetties to allow the homes to anchor their boats at their doorsteps. Of course, we would have rather spend our time on the beach, but with bad weather, Grimaud was a nice alternative.
Grimaud, Provence, France mylifesjourney... Ferrero, Toblerone, Strawberry, and Mango. Sophie got Toblerone, Pecan, Stracciatela, and Nutella. It was very good. Sophie was wearing white pants and of course dropped some chocolate on them. The next day we, again, went to the beach. It was, again, cloudy. But the waves were huge and I had a very fun time being knocked all over the place by them. In the Afternoon we headed over to Line's parents house. We ended up going into town with Line, Romain, and Lily-Rose. We hung around ...
Hyères, Provence, France mdoddrHello everybody; Quick note to update you: We are in Nice now and loving it. We have met some cool people and have hung around for a while with them. It's such a cool place. I'll try to put some pictures up as soon as I can. In the meantime, check out the London entry for some pictures, oui? We are doing the Cinque Terra in Italy this week. Perhaps I'll find some more time then, but man the days are jam packed. That's all for now, Eric
Nice, France ericvandyk... came home saying he wasn't able to kitesurf due to lack of wind and I went out to the backyard to lay on the chaise lounge in the shade. I tried to read but I was just too content to look around and enjoy the cool air, the breeze and the country surroundings. What a perfect moment! I took a mental picture and just enjoyed the pure happiness of the moment. We also had fresh apricots again!
