... to a week earlier.... Ddddoooohhhhhhh! Saturday night we went to Buen Retiro Park for a sweet firework show! We waited a while but it was worth it! No matter how many times you see fireworks they are still amazing! This was a moment when I thought about how lucky we are to be here on the other side of the world experiencing its beauty! On Sunday we had another wander around the shops near Puerta del Sol. Simmo bought a few new items as most of his shirts are starting to crumble under ...

We passed a group of Australian tourists, talking about how they ...

... the priest must have been keen to go and get an expresso coffee as the church service was only half hour! We didn't even have time to take photos as they turned off all the lights before we could even leave the church. We then went and found a new place to have breakfast - still not the same as our coffee we have when we met on tour mornings.
We all then went to an aquapark - AQUOPOLIS Villanueva de la Cañada. If you think of ...

... of trying to write anything up or read. It was a good decision - when I got back, I felt fresh enough to try speed-walking through the Prado during free hours. I hopped the metro over to El Prado and got there around 6:45, so I had about an hour until closing at 8.

The Prado is certainly a lot more up my ally than the Reina Sofia. I saw the entirety of the bottom floor (floor 0) and then ran upstairs JUST in time to see Las Meninas. I ...
