... looking forward to the next with planning and mundane ordering etc, and looking after people who can't look after themselves.

Well that seems to be our lot at the moment. The jury is still out on whether we will stay the season or not. This week coming we have our first group of just adults, no dietary requirements (normal food) and about our age. Cant wait.

Apologises for the quality of some of the photos, taken on the phone. Cheers just now. Oh pardon me, ...

Today was the same routine, Nanny walked Brody over to ski school and Matt and I took Marni along to her school. She was a little more focussed and happy about it today. We stayed and watched while I had a cup of coffee. We were interested to see how she went, because she did great yesterday and we had been coaching her on straight skis, meaning fast, turned in, meaning slow ...

And so back to our patiently waiting bikes and back to camp
for a well-deserved beer and supper of braaied chicken wings……with skin.

every cut is removed by the butcher and one cannot buy any meat in the shops
that has fat on it. Very sad state of affairs, and so we buy chicken with skin
on it so as to satisfy our craving for delicious cooked animal fat.

Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...

      ... know.

Young lady at Maccas said that the holiday was to remember the dead family members and give everyone the chance to go the the cemeteries. After a quick lunch it was back over the hill to France and we headed for home in Samoens, ninety minutes away. We planned a quick stop in Cluses on the way. Guess what, Cluses was also shut! Same excuse for a holiday apparently.

Met up with the rest ...
