... of it over a high fence. It is just one more thing I'll have to research on the internet after I finish my trip. Lastly, I also saw lots of Nestle buildings between Lausanne and Montreux, which suggests their HQ might be here.

Tomorrow's accommodation will be at an Abbey in the town of St Maurice, on the way to Martigny. I doubt I will have Wi-Fi access for a couple of days, so please don't assume that radio silence means anything sinister has happened to me on the slopes.

We just finished the tour du Mont Blanc - 180km, 3 countries, 9 days! Also some sore feet by the end...
actually it was probably some of the nicest hiking we have ever done - stayed in some lovely hotels and mountain refuges, ate amazing food each day, good wine each night!
Think Andy was a bit de estates to be in Chamonix in summer rather than winter, but ...

... mix with the milky green water in the Rhone. There were also twigs and logs zooming down the river! We passed through orchards and vineyards, then an industrial area. We have been watching the valley gradually grow wider over the last day or so since Ernen. We know it won't be far now before the river becomes a lake - lake Leman!
