Mont Blanc Express was fabulous!! I just planned it as a convenient way to get down to France again. Within 5 minutes (or less) of getting on the train, Bryan and I were looking at each other - we'd gone up the mountain like an escalater! Then came the hair pin bends and absolutely fabulous scenery. Fabulous. Even the time waiting ...

... Finding our hotel was another matter and took ages in the one way streets and the incompetence of our navigation.

We spend a quiet day - it is very cloudy on the top of Mont Blanc and we plan to wait until tomorrow for the visit.

Anyway, we arrived and were delighted with our Hotel Milleluci. There are only 4 couples here and it is a great spot for a free day.

Aosta does not do much for me as a place, but, apparently, is a great Winter skiing centre. The city centre trades on tourists visiting ancient Roman ruins, but ...

... team at the Adventure Park, where M once again conquered the blue ropes course. Ross bailed from here early, to turn on the oven and roast a leg on NZ lamb. €26 for the leg which is about $45NZ. Probably not too bad a price. Yummy dinner washed down with a bottle of John Cleese's fifteen year old red wine. He was one of Deborah's clients in Monaco, and left the bottle behind when he moved out.
