... We kept looking for a place to buy our fruit tarts but there wasn't anything until we rode down a steep narrow exceptionally busy hill and into Cancale. It's obviously a hugely popular holiday place with lots of shops and restaurants on the beach front. The tide was out there too and boats were lying on their side on the muddy sand. The traffic was bumper to bumper so there was no point trying to ride so we walked our bikes along the street and in ...

... right to the door to the town. There were people around but it was deserted compared with the previous day. We spend a bit of time taking photos and watching the sun trying to rise and then as we turned to go the shuttle buses were letting off waves of people. We think it's funny as that's the last thing on our minds. We are lucky to still be awake at 10 pm. Tonight will be no ...

... wind chill factor as we raced down the road near the long hill we had ridden up yesterday. Suddenly we were in a beautiful tiny town, bathed in sun but still chilly and adorned with stone cottages and flowering baskets. Yesterday we traded busy roads for quiet roads that wound up and down through villages. Today we were rewarded with about the first 20 kms being mostly on canal tow paths. Although this is an organised tour, we seem to be the only ...

We woke up at 10:00 and took the metro to the Gare Saint Lazare. Once we got there we were confused about where to go. After we asked around we figured out that there was one section for local trains and one for the grand lines. We made our way over to the grand lines and found the train that went to Lison. After waiting about fifteen minutes we got the track number and got on the train. We found some seats and ...
