      ... and she takes me to the 10th floor of the building for a birds eye view of Ghent. Old steeples and clock towers soar on the horizon and she explains to me those building are in the main part of downtown.

      After our meeting I walk along the canal seemingly backward in time. Instead of using a map, I follow the clock tower and church steeples I can see in the distance or between buildings.

      ... way similar to those cemeteries of the allied forces would be to insult the memory of tho lost. Today I received the heartbreaking news that my beautiful Auntie Joan has left us and so as I can't be with my family, a return trip to Menim Gate gave me time to reflect on some lifetime memories.       Time for another big drive! The last few trips have only been a few hours and have been quite broken up but today was a long haul. We got on the bus at about 8am and weren't due to arrive until after 5.
