... Buddha. One of the three Buddha tooth relics are housed here and worshiped by the locals. Taiwanese Buddhists are the "orthodox" version (Mahayana), where all desires are given up- meat, alcohol, marriage etc, and you devote your life to though and helping the community. We then saw the Love River in Kaoshiung and the night market. A lively city, much like ...

Dinner was at a famous place known for its DanZi noodles which turned out to be quite good! We finished dinner before 6:30 and headed back to the hotel. We said goodbye to our guide. Tomorrow we will leave TaiNan and head to the Sun and Moon Lake area. The same driver will take us there. We need to leave at 9am.
