Before we left home I had done significant amounts of bitumen walking in prep for this Camino knowing we had a lot of road to cover, so I was frustrated that my efforts failed - it made no difference to walking here on this hard stuff. ... to the Finca. This is the land where Marilyn and Pip's daughter lives with her husband, 3 horses, 3 dogs and 8 cats. Camping in a gazebo and caravan, growing vegies, riding, slowly getting the place into shape before modernising the barn/stables and adding living accommodation. We asked Clare's help, with her better Spanish, to try to contact a garage in Madrid, but still no ...

... the nearest town to Marilyn and Pip. Attractive "old town" with narrow cobbled streets, almost Gaudi-like cathedral, with old and new cathedral buildings joining each other, a style not seen before. Walked the market square; good to have Marilyn's Spanish to explain the various sausages on sale. Saw a purple skinned fruit, size of a large mango, that was ..... a mango! Stopped to watch the world go by ...
