... the school. It ended up being a 4 hour hike STRAIGHT UP the waterfalls.. yes. as in upstream. And I was in flip flops. It was an experience, and if it weren't for a few great guy friends, the girls may not have made it. At the end, it was worth it. Would I do it again? ...
First week of class
... to-spend-forever-cooking fashion, we made tacos. Yum. Then it was off to this place down the road to play pool. The boys are still a little bitter over that one.. In fact, I believe one of them said we couldn't be friends anymore because of it... can't help it if the girls beat them a few times.. Then it was down the street for some dancing. And orientation ends...
... but instead of exhibits, there are classrooms.... The week ended with the "welcome cocktail" where all the administrators spoke and the arts department brought in some folk dancers and a mariachi band. And of course, no event in Mexico is complete without free alcohol, which just made me laugh (There was CocaCola for us non-drinkers, as well). Afterwards, we had this brilliant idea of going to Antiguo de Tec (see pictures), the pub near campus. Just for ...
