... A thin trickle escapes the frozen bottle neck. Mmmmmmmmm! We crawl down the icy ladder of the rooftop and look up. During the night our tent has transformed into a castle of a million shimmering icicles. The moment would be romantic were it not for the cold wind taking our breath away. So instead, we quickly pack up and hope for warmer climates. This aint camping for sissies.
The Turquoise Coast
We were not disappointed. The Turkish coast proved simply stunning ...
We had a heck of a rainstorm last night in Olympos; but it didn't delay the plan to travel westward on the Med. So, here we are in Kas, a beautiful quiet sleepy town with a yacht basin filled with sailboats.
The hostel is Beautiful. I think the best I have ever stayed in. And the price isn't too bad, although it is the off season. This Might be It- the place I have been looking for. But, of course, it's too early to tell.

Alınca-Patara-Kalkan-Kas, Antalya Province, Turkey lerouxsimard... was a saviour waiting for us in the form of an old lady shopkeeper who sat us down and provided us with grapes picked straight from the vine and figs straight from the tree. She's our hero!
After a couple of nights in the shed we headed further along the coast to a far more sophisticated location - our room in Kas was even equipped with BBC News! Kas is beautifully located on the coast and this time we enjoyed it ...

... to go for another walk but Gem & I were stuffed and stayed and chilled on the boat. I laid on the side and the mumma bought us pillows and soon enough i fell asleep, only waking when the others got back. By now the sunshine was out and I was refreshed and warming up! We set off and slowly drove past the ruins of the sunken city. You can no longer stop or swim here as they are trying to protect the ruins. They are ...
Kekova, Turkey chooklotto... invited" into the room. All of the wives, sisters, etc. must have been upstairs either helping with the feast or eating separately. It was weird having the realization that the men and women eat separately, but luckily I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Denis, our host and many other men were very nice and talkative and made us feel very welcome. A little part of me wished I would have been up into the "women's world", but I'm sure that would have entailed work. So...I was ...
Kas, Turkey kskye1Everyone remembers that the keys are ın funny places and I can't spell check properly, rıght? And I can't decıde how to spell Medıterranean, so I seem to spell ıt dıfferently every tıme. Yesterday I went on what's known as a 12 Islands Cruıse, whıch, as the name suggests, ınvolves cruısıng around the ıslands ın Fethıye Bay. It was nıce, but not really my speed. The only other solo person on the boat ...
Kas, Turkey erinontheroad... it was completely dark and the forest was completely silent. I looked at my watch, decided that it was too soon to give up, and that I would probably be okay in the forest because all the predatory animals were killed off eons ago (farm animals wander in freedom across roads and such and clearly farmers are not worried about wolves or cats) and because no sane brigand would be on a road that no one ever travels (I still hadn't seen anyone on it - but that wasn't ...
