getting ready for the day.

... br>The history of Acapulco (per the tour book), is a city of about 700,000 people. This became
a major port back in the 1500's due to the arrival of Hernan Cortez,
which at that time many treasures were shipped to Mexico City and on to Spain. After World War 2 this became a favorite
vacation spot.More to come!

The museums, the bordom, the welcome farewell

... because I didn´t meet any other person during my three days there that I really could converse with.
Friday I went around passing empty bars until it started to rain, then I happily retired to my room. I went to explore the city Saturday, determined to find some cool people to do some serious drink with that night. Passed the time drinking pina colada by the beach until nightfall. I continued my hunt for English ...

puerto escondido

we love puerto escondido.it is indeed surfers paradise, massive waves, billabong shops, sun loungers and lots of bars. we stayed at the hotel mayflower and met two other groups of aussies so at nigth we would all gather and drink and go to bars. in days me and beck went to zicalta beach and topped up the tan and tried to swim (really strong currents). beck had a massage on the beach by this random masseur man and we watched ...

A good base for visiting Acapulco

... low prices. At the entrance to the village the road forks by an Oxxo shop, if your bus is heading straight on then jump out here and veer off to the left. This is the only street that runs through the village, on your left are all the hotels and restaurants lining the Pacific Ocean whilst on your right is the Laguna de ...

... property to climb up to the roof for a better view. What a deal. We briefly walked around an outdoor market that was set up in an alley before heading back to 'Nilla to get some rest. Interestingly enough, we were fortunate to have free internet access in the van at the parkade. The lucky ball keeps bouncing our way. MEXICO: M.Albán>Puebla>Teotihuacán>M.City>Acapulco

... early to bed in prep for a 7 am leave to our final and most vast ruin site, Teotihuacan on the outskirts of the capital, Mexico City. This ruin site consisted of 2 huge pyramids about 70m high, 1 temple of the sun god and 1 of the moon. we climbed these to the top and were completely out of breath and feeling dizzy. At an altitude of roughly 2,300m above sea level, Mex city is the worlds more densely populated city including suburbs (120 million ...

Cliff diving in Acapulco

... blown package rather than the "studio" deal he´s managed to work out by crunching numbers. There only one thing. My wife and I have a rule in our relationship that we discuss and make decisions over a few days rather than on the spot. I´m saying all of this while looking at Klarissa who´s agreeing with everything I say. She really is a great wife and didn´t get thrown by my occasional questions about our life together. It was also a nice touch that she ...
