... and yes, the mountains are impressive.
As we didn't want to take Frankie too high into the alps, we chose a campsite at Lausanne on Lake Geneva. It is known as Lac Leman by the locals. The first day we went to the lake to have a look. The water was clear, blue and very clean. Apparently it has not always been like it and in the 1960's it was too polluted to swim in. When you stay ...

Geneva was only 30 mins away via express bus. Our host, Flo was waiting around the corner from the bus stop for us. Here we had a drink then headed to the ...

... lake - all areas that are protected for public use.

The Olympic museum has recently undergone a huge renovation. Tony and I had been to see it over 15 years ago and it was beautiful then.

Now it is set on 3 floors of interactive programming, videos, touch screens to show us the history and story of the revival of the games. Don't worry, with me and my iPhone experience aside, I had the perfect guides - Talia and Avaia were going to make ...

... sail on what we thought would be a 3 hour tour, across the lake to other towns and points of interest including a castle or 2....but some how that didn't happen..we crossed the lake and did get a great sense of its size and importance to the whole area but no castles..
Switzerland has a wine industry and the steep hills are covered with vines
Tonight it really rained, the first we have seen for 3 weeks but it didn't stop us getting out for a meal.
