... the city, river and parks and once again Jesse managed to track down and English speaking boy and became mates. On day 2 it was starting to rain and we went up the lake towards Lausanne into winery region and a massive parkland area. Unfortunately it was getting pretty wet so we didn't get to do the rope climbing that we had planned for the day. It was much sunnier on the other side of the river so we came back to the East side of the lake ...

When I was out shopping, I found a bottle of wine from my cousin Laurence’s vineyard and of course had to purchase it – I mean how many times can you say you bought your cousin’s wine?!?! The first mouthful tasted a bit funny, but I reminded myself I was eating out in France where things are done differently, and better. The second mouthful tasted no better, and by the third I knew I'd made a really bad choice. It tasted as if the meat was really 'high' and I could barely swallow the latest mouthful without retching; it really was that ...

... 3 hours of relaxation. As we went on a Tuesday night it wasn't too busy, but I can only imagine how busy it must get during peak times. On our way to the Spa we drove through one of Kathy's favourite riding spots - Lavaux. Lavaux is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and consists of 830 hectares of terraced vineyards which stretch for 30 km along the northern shores of Lake Leman. It is a beautiful area, silly me forgot my camera so no photos. It is ...
