Good start to the day and set our course for Portugal stopping off for a lunch stop at Isla Cristina, which is a bustling fishing port and town. They have good facilities for the fleet; plenty space. They must have some sort of nautical college here as well because the free fall lifeboat training rig was on the quayside. It was a bit rough looking in places with neglect in the rubbish dept. nature. Just idyllic. We even saw a snake swimming from one side of the river to the other.

... and wandered around a little. Very pretty. Saw lots of different types of shells / sealife and something that looked very similar to samphire (sea asparagus) as we have in the UK but tasted very different, probably due to the sandy and salty water, so we didn't pick any.
Just love the island – the Rio da Formosa is something special. Besides the fishermen
working so hard throughout the day and night leaving a lot of wake, this is such a lovely ...
