    Jacob had done his research & decided we had to drive on this Stelvio Pass which had been featured on Top Gear...loads of twists & turns up the mountain.

    left Venice & headed towards the Dolomites...the road is marked 'treacherous ' on the map...must be an exaggeration obviously says me.

    road is normal for an hour or two, then gradually the terrain becomes hillier & steeper. But this is NOT the Stelvio Pass ...

    ... their lives.....we reach the top and the air is thin and cool and the view also takes your breath away......getting close to the edge the legs feel like jelly at the impossible drop to the lower slopes below......the 360 view across the valleys is an inspiration, we pause to watch the downhill bikers make there descent and I am thinking they are nuts....one slip up and its good night!
