... and read part of the homework for pronunciation. I also went over "time" and how to say things like "half past 3" and "twenty-five to 12." This was due to the students confusing 12:25 with 11:35. So that was a fun little experiment. I also led Simon says and taught the students new words like "wave," "point," and "neighbor." They may have known the words but just have not heard them regularly. One student even said in that class that he will learn more ...

... in their first year teaching in English. In the 4 week rotation we established yesterday, I will be with the Math classes for 4 of my 12 hours a week for 3 of the 4 weeks. For some that would be extremely daunting, but I can't wait for next week to come. This week though, I start tomorrow with the other classes and present me and where I come from. Oh how I hate presentations, especially about myself...

... I decided to make a pitstop and see if they had any information on the place. In seriously broken Spanish on my part and fairly broken English on the receptionists part, we made due and I found out the information I needed. At this point I knew I was close enough home that I could finish my stupidly limited amount of water I brought. When I arrived, the cold water from the fridge was like the water on my feet when I arrived at the beach, a godsend.

... a perfect base for exploring. I was able to lose weight and relax, and squeeze in a bit of beach down time. I made some great friends on the retreat and we had a wonderful night out in Ibiza Town at the end of the week, but we all still came home feeling fitter and more refreshed. All in all a perfect week which proves that everything is good for you in moderation.

Rode 30 minutes to Saona Beach and on the way was a bit jealous of all the tourists going past on scooters! Oh well, at least we were getting exercise. Arrived and it was a lovely spot. A rocky bay with a nice deep sandy beach, only 130m along or so with really clear water. Hung there for a couple of hours, really relaxing and swimming. Lots of topless people as per usual including ...
