Christmas Day Dinner...

A travel blog entry by downer on Dec 25, 2014

Traumatic Times, Christmas Lunch booked, we arrived at 2pm, the restaurant packed full and the drink in full flow... Now because we were one of the last to take Christmas Lunch we were a course or two behind the others so when the music started and the senior guest started to dance it would appear this meant we were still eating our Turkey in the middle ...

Stayed on this campsite before in March this year with Mark. It's a great campsite, clean and well laid out, convenient for the town, two supermarkets within 2 mins and the beach 500yards away. These children were in year 6 and their English was very good but they had a few problems with pronunciation of certain words which we helped to improve. After a very enjoyable 2 hours it was time for home.

... second last morning to Marto's tent through the camp grounds (my Uni mate). It was a war zone. Bodies and rubbish everywhere, some people still staggering around in a desperate search for more beer. One guy was passed out on his tent- collapsed, tent poles everywhere and he was face down in the middle of it. A group of guys were playing soccer in the morning and rouge soccer balls were flying off and smashing into tents. I asked how much sleep ...
