Yesterday we traveled to Southern Brittany and visited Vannes then followed the peninsula down via Carnac to Quiberon. We had great weather fine and sunny which ended up 25C which is warmer than usual this time of year according to the locals. People were swimming and windsurfing. Fougeres has a magnificent castle built on the side of the hill sloping down to the river. The builders had used the river to fill the moat and drive four water wheels that remain in use (I guess having been replaced a few times).

There's a bakery, Le Bar Sportif, also small restaurant that serves as a post office and sells lotto tickets and magazines, there's a little supermarket and a pharmacy and two hairdressers! The locals are all know that we have arrived and news has got around about the deux Australians staying in Le Rachet! They are all very friendly and very understanding of our poor French!

On Monday 16 June 2014 I went to visit the french town of Domfront in Normandy France it is a lovely town with a great Castle with great views of the local Area.
