Negril, Jamaica mcoker... br>
Our flight from Quito was delayed which meant we missed our connection and spent a night in Miami to catch an early flight the next day. In our already relaxed state of mind we just rolled with the punches and got to Montego Bay a day later than planned, no biggie.

Upon arrival in Montego Bay (or Mobay) we were immediately introduced to the relaxed island vibes! A reggae band in the baggage hall at the airport is not a bad start! The ...

Montego Bay, Saint James, Jamaica msandy1024... A magician first who was excellent and following him, enjoyed the Couples Marriage Game. Too funny!

I was checked in to a Premium Category. It was quite small and somewhat dark. Not what I expected, but OK for the price. The furnishings were nice however the room just look as if it needed an upgrade. When you come to this resort…accommodations are important. I would strongly suggest a Loft ...
Negril, Jamaica msandy1024I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.
Negril, Jamaica gratien... Xtabi is one of the only hotels along this part of the beach that has security! The silly part of it is that there was a safe in our room, but we hadn't checked into using it (nor had any of the staff mentioned it). At least they didn't find Martin's money pouch, though it was sitting on the night table right by the bed. They would have been about $500 richer if they would have scored his cash, too. What was so freaky about it was that we were in the ...
Negril, Jamaica kimandmartin... while we waited for our food, then we were served a healthy plate of rice and peas plus mouth watering jerk chicken. In no time at all plates were cleaned, beliies full and sleep was calling, so we drove back to the hotel, said our good nights and turned in for our first nights sleep back home. I arose early the morning and began the chore of unpacking, so I could enjoy the rest of my time without being encumbered by such trivial things as clothes (me ...
Negril, Jamaica rastagalnj... I saw two Japaneese Rasta ladies (aka-empresses), very cool). Some rasta's had brought their own homemade flags or other paraphanalia. One guy that stood behind me the whole time had a rasta stick (about 3 feet long painted in the rasta colors of red, green, and gold). He was very stoic and just stood there with his stick in the air the whole time; very cool. At 2am the headliner, Burning Spear, came out. Burning Spear was a reggae innovator on par with Bob ...
