... given you. I think if you are born into privilege you often take it for granted and aren't able to appreciate all you have until you step outside of it. I am grateful for this experience and everything it is teaching me even as I teach the students. I anticipate God will teaching all of us even more in our last 4 days here. I'm sure we will all have lots to process and think about when we return to Canada. We might all find it rather cold as well! At least compared to the heat here. ...

I have the essentials (like rain boots and underwear) so I think I'll live.  While I won't be flying business class, like mr. hot shot, I will get a flight that's 2x longer with half the leg room *whoo*. Fortunately I only have one short layover in Denmark and then I'll be meeting Rob at the Manchester airport. A long plane ride just means I'll have all 11 hours to read my travel books! Just hearing about Rob's adventures these past few days have made ...

... so powerful as to create much danger of riptides.

The Samana Peninsula is full of small villages filled with
people who look like they have little to do. You can see why so many Dominicans
immigrate to New York City. It’s a paradise where you can hang around, twiddle
your thumbs, go to the beach, and maybe figure out ways to hussle tourists with
boat excursions to deserted islands or steer them to a place where you can get
a commission on their shopping or ...
