This Saturday my program took a day trip to the region of Beaujolais to explore the vineyards and taste some wine! We started out in a little town called Oingt (which I can't pronounce) and then worked our way to two more towns along the way.

In Oingt we got a tour from a sassy old lady with a wicked fur hat who showed us the town and how all the buildings were built. We ...

It had been raining and we didn't want to wander around town looking for a hotel so we got directions to the Grand Hôtel de Basilica from the Tourist Office. It turned out to be an wonderful old hotel with a sweet little bar where I established myself with a glass of wine to do some writing, and a very elegant ...

    Day 10

A travel blog entry by 4girls on Jul 10, 2014

Finally we enjoyed a full English home cooked Breakfast at 8:30am consisting of bacon, eggs, toast, cereal and fruit. We went straight back to our room for another sleep before heading for the picnic at 10:30am, however when the alarm went off, walking an hour to have a picnic in the windy rain didn't seem like such a good idea, so we slept till noon. The rest of the day was pretty relaxing with lollies, chips, friends and alcohol. ...
