Today was a travel day from Paris out into the wine region of France. Although it would be a very a very long trip, this was helped along by a quick last minute visit to the Louvre to see none other than the Mona Lisa. It was the quickest visit I think that the museum has ever seen, but at least I can tick it off as having been done. ...

Aboard the good ship Rival, we found Burgundy pleasantly sunny and temperate during the final days of spring. Our boat owner/guides, Bruce and Yerda, skippered and cooked so we could enjoy the float through green, Charolais cattle country.

Celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau
