Day 3 in Sydney - Featherdale and the Blue Mtns

... club-like music and intimate lighting. The only lights were in fact from the small candles on the tables themselves. I chose a dish with prawns and other things that I can’t remember or probably even pronounce, but it was still very good. I also had an opportunity to try some of Australian’s Pinot Noir, which was rather tasty as well. The night ended with a nice FaceTime chat with my sister, and then I was quickly off to sleep, ready for the next day’s ...

... before, so had a tour of the house and property before dinner.
The house is rammed earth, very old and was in a bad state of disrepair when Susanna bought it. So bad she hadn't taken any 'before' shots as she was so embarrassed. A shame as she is an amazing renovator, and the place is a testament to her hard work, imagination, and creativity. All the homes she has lived in have been the same. The next morning I successfully woke up for the sunrise (much to the disappointment of my roommates lol) to watch it at a lookout point where you can see the famous Three Sisters (3 rock formations right next to each other). I arrived at the Echo Point lookout and saw NOBODY and was so excited that I had the view to myself but was in awe that nobody else was ...

... 6 hours of walking I completed somewhere between 20-25 KM. At least my feet felt like they had. I then finished off the evening watching a bit of the Australian Open with dinner and a pint for $9.90, Eastern Australia is certainly cheaper than Western Australia.

The next day was a similar format, I headed off for another big trek. I am not sure if I made it up to the summit of Mount Solitary but I made ...

    Blue Mountains continued

Day 2 at Blue Mtns. We got up early and went to Leura for a breakfast of sorts. We wanted to be at the Scenic World by 9 am to experience the cable car, the railway cable down and the scenic skyway across the mountains. Apparently the skyway is as high as Harbour Bridge in Sydney. Besides the Three Sisters mountain range, the Orphan rock is amazing. Due to a landslide it was closed ...
