... rest of the afternoon on deck and watched the riggers strike the sails. (I learned that it is called "strike the sails" when they take them away.)

After dinner we went to the lido bar where we enjoyed the performance of the "Sea Cloud Shanties". The crew dressed up and sang sea shanties in English, German and Filipino. It was a lot of fun.

... owns his own hotel, we stayed in town with another 'Georgios' - ironically! Very clean, central and what a bloke! Our morning wake up call screaming..'HELLO LIAM, HELLO ADAM!' Of which he never got it around the right way...what a legend!

3 nights in Crete was great, we wished Georgios all the best with his wife and baby and pushed on to Athens to begin our journey north..

We checked out Rethymnont today which was a nice stop. Tons of shops and restaurants and we had a nice meal at Melody restaurant. At the hotel, I was called reception asking for feather pillows. She said they had a pillow menu and named off about 7 different pillow types but then said for you I recommend the 'anti-aging' pillow. I found that comment bizarre but I insisted upon the goat pillow. She ...
