We spent 3 days in Florence, the artistic centre of Italy. The city was a good mix of sights to see and nice evenings wandering the streets. It has still been blistering hot everyday so the evenings have been nicer for walking around. We saw Michaelangelo's David, which is surprisingly much bigger than I imagined it. Our tour today was to three medieval villages and an Abbey around the the province of Siena. We did not go into the city which is quite industrial.

Our drive took us through an area; I believe it is called La Foce. This property lies on the hills overlooking the Val d'Orcia valley in southern Tuscany and is midway between Florence and Rome. . The area includes Etruscan burial places dating from the 7th century B.C.
