Rough Seas; Calm "Cabin"
... of a wrench on our plans. We had to wait an hour and a half to see "if" the next train would come….otherwise we’d have to wait another 6 hours for the end of the strike at 9pm. Walking was not an option as the walk at this part really was closed (gate, lock and all)….we tried it. So we just did like the Italians and went with the flow. As it turned out, the 3pm did run and were able to get back to our home base for dinner with our friends.

We ate breakfast at one of the hotel bars in the main street. You guessed it coffee and Nutella croissants. We packed up the bags and met up with Lorenza. She had found a direct train to Santa Margherita for us which wasn't leaving until 12:31pm. Lorenza promised to meet us at the station at 12 to drop off our bags so we had free time.
