    Next stop in the Grand Italian Tour ..... We decided to go further east to Ravenna , and as Bologna was on the way, stop in there for Pranza. I did my research and found a cute as pie Trattoria ,run by Nonna Anna Maria. Sounded perfect, popped the address into our GPS in Ronaldo , and off we toottled , salivating at the thought of authentic Bolognese in Bologna.

    ... coast. If anything,we could spend time at the beach! We arrived in Ravenna around 2 in the afternoon. We walked from the train station to our hotel. The hotel had bikes we would use for free! We dropped off our bags and checked out some bikes. We hadn't eaten lunch yet so we biked into the town square for an Italy feast! We were all so hungry we orders lots of food, and drank good wine. After lunch,we were full and tried so we went back to the hotel to rest for a little bit. In ...

    ... hit the bike path in the heat. We made our way up the coast along the bike path adjacent to the beach. We made good time until we had a little trouble attempting to exit Cervia. Took a little while, with a slight diversion - OK, we got lost! Our path lead us onto the A14, a highway rather than on our minor road. Our guides gave us directions - people we stopped on the street and we were able to get back onto route SS16.

    ... the same thing for two days in a row. Beaches lined with Umbrellas, **** shops and cafes". I think that having got that out of her system, she was then able to handle the next 20km! I was reminded as we left the Tourist Info Centre that she was riding more than 60km. Unsure what I was to do, so road off south with The Bride following.
