... I had booked a tour of Secrets of the Palais des Papes. I grabbed some lunch of ham and cheese crepes, dropped my bag at the hotel and whizzed around the corner to the Palais. There were five of us on the tour with an English speaking guide – two Americans and three Aussies. It was a fabulous tour. The guide knew her stuff and spoke excellent colloquial English. She was able to tell us the history of why the popes ended up in ...

walk-up apartment building. There are 86 steps up to our apartment and another 12 if we

... family and friends for over 7 months. My dear friend Julie Shelton and her husband Bill from Long Beach had been planning a trip to France to celebrate Julie’s retirement from ABC Unified. Somehow we persuaded them to join us for our last 3 days in Provence and 3 more days in Burgundy. We were confident that we could re-trace our steps to show them many sites in Provence in a short time.

... with herbs and a side salad. We accompanied this with chilled water as we were feeling exhausted and no one wished to drink Vin in the heat of the day as we would have to have had siestas. We also had ice cream and I selected Lavender, which was delicious and Specaloos, which was not quite as spiced. The earliest constructions in Lacoste date back to the 11th century. After the tragedies of the 14th century (plague, wars, pillages), Lacoste wash repopulated by the Waldensians at the ...
