Today's highlight was VIP access to the start village of the Tour de France. We traveled back to Brussels, received our special wrist bands and were escorted into the controlled area where the riders and teams warm up and sign in. Ok, so apparently free wi-fi is a thing of the past in "major" airports. Apparently a thing of the present is not one, not two, but three layers of security checks. But we are almost ready to go here in Belgium -- I've had my last chocolate croissant (sniff) and little cute coffee, and off we go.
