La Gemma Dell Est Zanzibar

Después de leer las dos opiniones anteriores llamamos a nuestro agente de viajes alarmadísimos por nuestras reservas. Sin embargo, nos aseguró que lo pasaríamos bien... ¡y así fue! Se supone que el complejo es de 5 estrellas, aunque la verdad es que es más bien del nivel de un 4 estrellas europeo. El sitio es impresionante, quizás la mejor playa del norte de la isla, la piscina es preciosa y la playa está muy bien cuidada. Nos alojamos en una habitación «Deluxe», espaciosa y muy grande, con unas vistas buenísimas del océano.

La comida es satisfactoria, lo que se puede esperar de un bufé. Hay MUCHA variedad, así que siempre encuentras algo que te gusta, aunque a veces está demasiado hecho o soso. También tienen restaurantes a la carta y disfrutamos muchísimo de unas langostas que cenamos en el restaurante Seabreeze.

El centro de bienestar dispone de tratamientos variados y el personal es muy profesional y bien formado.

Si buscas un sitio bonito para relajarte, no te decepcionará. Sin embargo, si quieres un AUTÉNTICO complejo de 5 estrellas, ve a otro sitio.

Reservamos 10 noches. El servicio era tan malo para el precio que nuestro agente de viajes acabo devolviéndonos todo el dinero. ¿Hace falta decir algo más?

Ich war sehr beunruhigt, nachdem ich einige andere Berichte gelesen hatte, aber war angenehm überrascht.

Dies ist ein liebenswertes Hotel. Wir fanden, dass die Angestellten sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich waren. Wir bekamen hübsche Blumen täglich auf unser Zimmer und hatten einen atemberaubenden Blick und verbrachten den Urlaub unseres Lebens.

Ja, das Personal hatte manchmal Schwierigkeiten uns zu verstehen (und wir sie zu verstehen), aber mal ernsthaft, wir hatten das gleiche Problem in Norwegen, Ungarn, Deutschland, Neuseeland und Italien.

Englischsprachige Menschen haben verschieden Akzente sollten Sie wissen!

Nachdem ich die letzen 2 Berichte gelesen hatte, riefen wir in Panik wegen unserer Reservierungen unser Reisebüro an. Aber dort versicherte man uns, dass unser Aufenthalt erholsam werden würde ... und das stimmte!

Das Resort gibt ein 5 Sterneresort zu sein, aber es ist realistischerweise ein europäisches 4 Sternehotel.

Die Lage ist erstaunlich-- vielleicht sogar der beste Strand im nördlichen Teil der Insel-- der Pool ist wunderschön und der Strand ist sehr gut gepflegt.

Wir übernachteten im "deluxe" Zimmer. Es war geräumig und sehr sauber. Wir hatten auch einen tollen Blick auf das Meer.

Das Essen war zufriedenstellend-- es ist, was man von einem Buffet erwarten kann. Es gibt REICHLICH an Auswahlmöglichkeiten sodass man was finden muss, das man mag-- auch wenn es ein bisschen überkocht oder etwas mild ist. Es gibt auch A la-carte Optionen auf dem Gelände und wir haben das Lobster Dinner im Seabreeze Restaurant wirklich sehr genossen.

Das Wellness Center hatte eine Palette von Anwendungen im Angebot und verfügte über ein sehr professionelles und kluges Personal. Falls Sie nach einer wunderschönen Lage und ein bisschen Erholung suchen, werden Sie nicht enttäuscht sein.

Aber wenn Sie nach einem wahren 5 Sterneresort suchen, dann bitte woanders.

I was also very worried after reading the previous reviews, but was pleasantly surprized. It was a lovely hotel, we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. We got lovely flowers in our room everyday, had a breathtaking view and had a holiday of a lifetime. Yes, the staff did sometimes find it difficult to understand us (and we to understand them), but gosh get a life - we experienced the same problem in Norway, Hungary, Germany, New Zealand and Italy. English do have different accents you know! Thanks to Dan and his staff for a wonderful time.

Just arrived back from honeymoon on safari in Kenya then to Zanzibar.

Gemma Del Est is a wonderful hotel. The rooms, beach and pool are great.

The food is of a good standard with plenty of choice.

The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the a la carte seafood restaurant which only offered lobster or prawn. Although it was still very good quality.

The location is perfect, it is a great place if you are looking to relax and totally chill out.

After reading the last two postings, we called our travel agent in a panic about our reservations. However, she assured us that our stay would be enjoyable...and it was!

The resort claims to be a 5 star resort, it is more realistically a European 4 star resort. The setting is stunning--perhaps the best beach in the northern part of the island--the pool is beautiful and the beach is very well groomed. We stayed in a "Deluxe" Room. It was spacious and very clean. We had a great view of the ocean as well.

The food is satisfactory--it is what you would expect for a buffett. There is PLENTY of variety so you are bound to find something you like--even if it is a little overcooked or a bit bland. There are also a la carte options on the property and we really enjoyed the lobster dinner at the Seabreeze restaurant.

The Wellness Center had a variety of treatments available and a very professional and knowlegable staff.

If you are looking for a beautiful setting for a little R & R you won't be disappointed. However, if you want a TRUE 5 star resort, look elsewhere.

We booked for 10 nights. The hotel was such poor value for money that our travel agent ended up refunding us the full cost of our stay. Need we say anymore!

This hotel has to be the worst hotel i've been to that calls it self a five star hotel. The hotel is over an hour and half from the airport the roads mostly dirt tracks full of pot holes.

Staff speak very little english and often get wrong your orders. The outdoor restaurant is not recommended unless you like sharing with a dozen flies.

Food is usually pasta because the resort mainly caters for italians. even though we went all inclusive we did eat a few times at the al a carte restaurant. The food here is nice but you pay £20-30 per head. Desert would have been nice if they had defrosted it properly.

The fully equipped gym is about eight machines under an open hut which need updating.

the hotel had recently opended and it had many problems that need to be resolved. When we left and wanted to write our opinion in the guest book at reception we were told it was being edited. This was probably because of the comments the italians had left prevously. They weren't positive i can asure you. Try another hotel to avoid disappointment.
