Yesterday we packed up and left Granada to drive to Malaga. We took a detour to a town at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, driving through Lanjaron and Orgiva to get to Pampaneira. Pampaneira is a white town high up in the hills of the Sierra Nevada, the views of the mountains were amazing. Unfortunately the village is very touristy, a problem I've encountered throughout most ...

    Day 14: Seville / Málaga

... On the walk to the beach we saw an old lady fall in the street. We helped her out of the street and a local kid eventually helped her walk home. The beach was gross and there were no waves, so Kelly and I drank at the beach bar that serves gummy bears and popcorn as tapas. For dinner we ate at Noviembre, a casual organic restaurant. We each had burgers and shared carrot cake and Oreo cheesecake. Would highly recommend this ...

... The plan was to stay longer if we really liked it. The views from Vine Ridge were described as 'breathtaking' and 'spectacular' and Don and I are all about the views and vistas. As we started to climb up the track it became obvious that this was becoming a challenge. Don has developed over the last few years 'an interesting appreciation' for heights in certain instances. I on the other hand had never had an issue. Because a ...

... able to follow their trip home via a programme called flight tracker, which tells when the plane is taxi-ing out to the runway, taking off, flying, how many flight hours left, and when they land - all in real time. Pretty fascinating, and good to know that they arrived home safely. All in all, it was a glorious week we spent together, building good memories and sharing many laughs - we miss them.
