We arrived in Monaco around 9:20am and made our way to the port. On the way we just saw so many flash cars. And then at the port the boats were just amazing and massive. We stopped at a cafe to have a coffee and corssiant, the price was 9Eur, a lot more then we normally spend but the coffee was nice and the corssiant was tasty. We then planned to head along the pier up to the fort and then come back down and follow the walkway along the waterfront over to ...

... children made straight for the pool and I believe one fell in but was rescued fairly quickly. Once upon a time Jacqui drove to and from Monaco every day until she couldn't do it anymore and she now lives in Monaco during the week and drives home at the weekends. Her husband Tony is much older than her, and fairly frail, so I wonder how long she can continue to leave him out in the sticks on his own. Anyway, for the moment they love it and wouldn't swap for ...

... a nap on the grass and just let our skin soak up the sun!

We purchased our carnival tickets for that same night and then got some gelato from Place Massena and people watched at the Promenade des Anglais. This area is a rocky beach front, with a large American flag proudly flowing in the air next to the French and European Union flags. Apparently, this promenade was constructed back in the day for the English and the royals wanted to stone so that they did ...
