    ... shoes were full of water! When the rain stopped they cleared the museum and we decided to go home and get dry. There were parts of buildings that had come off, shop windows broken, flooding, mangled tables and chairs from outside restaurants, and many of the stall holders had their product ruined. We are all safe but not an experience we want to repeat. Apparently it was very unusual and made the National news.

    We have visited the Uffizi Gallery. There were paintings by heaps of famous people like Leonardo Da'Vinci, Bottecelli, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Rubens and many more. My favourite painting was Medusa by Caravaggio. It was painted on a shield and it showed her just after her head had been chopped off and she was screaming and the snakes on her head were still alive.
