... too narrow for cars. We take the stairway for a quick look around the town, and, of course, a trip to a supermercato. Fruit and veggies are not self serve, and we have to wait a while for help. The cashier is clearly annoyed that I have no change, and burdens me with a huge pile of coins in my change. Dinner is in the hotel restaurant where we continue to get amazingly friendly service. Soup and pasta is pretty good with un mezzo litro of house ...

... and are immediately into the long climb across to the Nera valley (Valnerina). We will get to about 700M. The riding is constantly up and our progress is slow. The weather is perfect, with temperatures perhaps in the mid 20s. We ride through the dense forests of oak, chestnuts and spend much time in the shade - a good thing because this is working up a sweat. We ride up without helmets, at little more than walking pace. There are hundreds of bags of ...

Well the ferry over was easy, even if getting on the boat was a chore.
there will be pics, I think I got sunrise over the Adriatic, as we arrived in Ancona at 7am. Got off the boat to be met by rain, and Italian roads don't like rain, very greasy.
Still headed out towards Rome, which meant going over the mountains, so if the weather dried up I was going to have more fun.
    We'll ...
