... in from Australia. A bit kitsch and touristy with boomerangs, surfboards and AFL and NRL football games playing on various TV sets around the bar. In the afternoon the heat and the humidity zaps your energy. We decided to have one last massage, followed by a facial. Very relaxed we headed back to the hotel. Had a bit of a "cuppa of tea and a Bex and a good lie down". Latter we got up and wandered down to Patong beach. We ...

... is at sea and somewhere in the distance I'm sure I can hear Katie crying. Never fear roomie, this tale has a happy ending! I am not afraid for some reason. We finally make it to the next island but I'm bitter at this point and just want to go home. This island is tiny and it's sole purpose is to get money out of tourists because there is room enough for a few bars and hundreds of chairs. We sit on the rocks because we don't feel like paying to sit in a chair. ...

... to show they weren't afraid of their trainers, but someone told me I couldn't expect that in Phuket. They were wrong. The mahouts didn't stick or hit our living transportation at all, just shouted commands and urged them along. Our elephant in particular wasn't a big fan of going up or down even small slopes, so she would just stop, leading our mahout to actually walk behind her at one point and push until she would walk up a minuscule hill. And I thought pushing a stalled car was ...
