Wales and England - AMAZING. We arrived on Friday 16th October. We launched straight into sightseeing mode and went directly to the Roman Baths in Bath. What a groovy town Bath is. The next day was the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff. This probably rated as James' most favourite tourist attraction. That afternoon Paul and James went to the Semi Final of New Zealand v France. ... at the entrance way, but with a distinct spin towards quality. I was thrilled to wander in there yesterday and notice hundreds of cases of 2001 Bordeaux Haut Medoc piled shoulder high, at the unbelievable price of €8.95 each. Carrefour is great for large weekly shops, where you can pile the trolley full with a huge assortment of delights and spend only €100 or so. Unless of course you get side-tracked by the isles of wines. The best supermarket ...

Today was an unscheduled day, we were free to find our own entertainment. When I first read the itinerary, I was a little disinterested in not having a scheduled hike each day, but after spending a few days in Chamonix, I think a free week here wouldn't be enough for a person to do and see everything.

    How does paragliding sound?

To me... good and bad. I certainly didn't want to leave here with regrets of having not done it. ...
