The beaches we decided to visit were four separate and small little sandy beaches, two located each side of a small peninsula - you could walk across it in five minutes.       ... here, but the ones we visited are lovely, in little coves, looking out to islands just off the coast, and being a Sunday and an absolutely perfect day (28 degrees at 11am) lots of boats on the water. Driving from coastal village to coastal village was a lot like the Great Ocean Road. There are gum trees here so that helps with the feel.       ... ferry was a very comfortable way to spend 6 and half hours travelling down the Mediterranean from mainland Italy to Sardinia. Huge big lounge areas, bars, restaurants, a stage and a grand piano. We're at the end of the tourist season here so the ferry was pretty quiet, plenty of room to spread out and relax.
