... Day 2 was full to the rim of activities and explorations. We set out to Cinque Terre and conquered the most challenging and highest of all the walks. We hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza. It took around an hour and a half and went up 500 meters to reveal the most breathtaking, exquisite views you could imagine; The walk then plateaued for a little while and soon went back down into Vernazza. ... as the hardest but most beautiful Walk. It took us two hours to complete and we were almost glad not to be able to walk between the rest of the villages. Instead we trained it to all the other villages and walked around. My favourite was Manarola.

We had dinner in Riomaggiore and trained it back to La Spezia - pretty well exhausted.

... of “sitting by the pool, sipping on a cocktail” leisure that I associate with the word. So here is the truth, the path is f**king tough and not for the ill prepared. Wearing high heels (which we saw on two occasions) or flip flops (which we saw on many more occasions) would not be the most appropriate gear.
