... expectation was that it would be a bit like a tacky Marbs or similar. In fact what we found was quite the opposite. Chic, some glam, clearly lots of money, great boutiques and friendly people were everywhere. St Tropez is quite a small town, small enough to walk around for sure and at this time of year not as busy as I'd have expected. I suspect that come July and August its rammed but we were lucky. ... Verdon Gorge but want to do it at sunrise to avoid any tight hiccups with other vehicles! Frankly we were really disappointed with the D17 southern road route named Corniche Sublime. We could only see the view of the Gorges at set points until almost the end when it opens up. Trees obscured the view for much of the way. Glad we did leave early though. ... where we were supposed to be. Another windy night walking around Nice. There was even a kiwi pub in Nice called Le Maori, very cool! Day 5 - a very relaxing last day in Nice! Breakfast on the beach, a delicious lunch and even better gelato! Made the most of the sun before heading back to grey London that night. After a bumpy landing into London and 2 buses later we finally made it home about 2am! Luckily we didn't have to go to work the next day (except poor Andy :p). Good ...
